I have listened to this album many times and each time I notice something different I love. Awesome musicianship with excellent songwriting at it's best. shlink88
This time, there's really nothing to moan about! I've criticized the band's previous two albums for containing too much pointless improvisations, while, at the same time, I highly appreciated the brilliant songwriting. "Farmhouse Odyssey" have used the past three years wisely for perfecting the latter, and I like the way they root their music in the sound of the 70's, while avoiding the annoying stereotypes of this decade. I'm especially pleased to find a 12-minute track here, that doesn't sound like assembled from parts in the beginner's prog construction kit. Sven B. Schreiber
A killer live experimental rock LP from Chris Forsyth with the rhythm section of Sunwatchers, full of blistering energy. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 30, 2021
Mostly written & recorded during lockdown, the latest from Oregon group Corvair is big on early ’80s FM rock hooks & power pop charm. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 28, 2021
Frankly, I like this album much more than the successor "Kite". The compositions are more elaborate, and the sequence of songs has a gorgeous overall flow. The music is clearly rooted in 70's Italian prog, with an obvious affinity to early Steve Hackett and Genesis ("Wind & Wuthering" era). Sven B. Schreiber
